Northeast-10 Player and Freshman of the Week
Sarah Hickey, Stonehill (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Lee, Mass.) – Only player to go undefeated in both singles and doubles play in the NCAA East Regional. Went 2-0 at No. 5 singles and 2-0 at No. 3 doubles as the Skyhawks earned their first trip to the round of 16.


Weekly Honor Roll:

Ellen Mader, Bentley (Fr., No. 6 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, West Linn, Ore.) - Went 2-0 against Southern New Hampshire in NCAA Tournament first round match. Teamed with Kara Murphy to win Bentley's lone doubles match, then picked up one of Bentley's three singles wins.

Kara Murphy, Bentley (Fr., No. 5 Singles/No. 3 Doubles, Worcester, Pa.) - Went 2-0 against Southern New Hampshire in Bentley's first round NCAA Tournament match. Won her doubles match with Ellen Mader 8-3, then dropped just one game in 6-0, 6-1 No. 5 singles win.

Christina Lucin, Merrimack (So., No. 2 Singles/Doubles, Wesley Chapel, Fla.) - Picked up both of her team's victories in a 5-2 loss to Stonehill in the NCAA Tournament, winning her doubles match 8-5 and her singles match 6-3, 6-0.

Amber Chandronnait, Southern New Hampshire (So., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Bow, N.H.) - Posted wins at No. 1 singles and doubles in the NCAA tournament win over Bentley.

Catalina Echeverry, Southern New Hampshire (So., No. 2 Singles/No. 1 Doubles, Cali, Colombia) - Posted wins at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles in the NCAA tournament win over Bentley.

Lindsey Herchel, Stonehill (So., No. 1 Singles/Doubles, Hampden, Mass.) – Went 1-1 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles, helping the Skyhawks to their first ever trip to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

Lindsay Simmons, Stonehill (Fr., No. 6 Singles,Wethersfield, Conn.) – Won the game clinching match against Queens at No. 6 singles. Was down 5-4 and 6-5 but forced a tiebreaker, winning 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (7-4) as the Skyhawks earned their first trip to the round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Leah White, Stonehill (Fr., No. 3 Singles, East Walpole, Mass.) – Went 2-0 at No. 3 singles in East Regional Play. Her three set victory against Queens in the final helped the Skyhawks to their first ever trip to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE: SNHU set a school record for victories this season with 12.

STONEHILL: The Skyhawks advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament after winning their first ever regional title.
