BOSTON, Mass. – Southern Connecticut State University
freshman Chris Croff (Lisbon, Conn.) won the NCAA Division II
Northeast Regional cross country championship Sunday at Franklin
Park.
Croff, who won the Northeast-10 Conference championship earlier
this season, registered a time of 30:52.5, topping the field by
26.5 seconds. It was the third fastest time in the history of the
Division II regional at Franklin Park
Croff was named NCAA Division II Northeast Runner of the Year and
will compete in the NCAA Division II championships on Nov. 19 in
Pensacola, Fla.
The Owls placed third in the 18-team competition behind UMass
Lowell and Stonehill
