Student-Athlete Spotlight: 'Eduardo Archibold-Brown'
Throughout the 2009-2010 academic year, the Northeast-10 and
its member institutions will be featuring student-athletes across
the conference in the brand new ‘Student-Athlete
Spotlight’ section on the Northeast-10 website. Our fourth
installment, submitted by the Le Moyne College Sports Information
department, features men's basketball player Eduardo
Archibold-Brown.
Le Moyne College highlights Eduardo Archibold Brown as he spent
a portion of his summer with the Panama National Team and competed
in the FIBA Americas World Championships in Puerto Rico.
Archibold Brown, who joined the Dolphins last season after playing
two years at the University of West Georgia, averaged 1.0 points
and 1.9 rebounds in eight minutes per game off the bench. The
6-foot, 9-inch center scored his first international basket after
grabbing an offensive rebound on a missed foul shot with 23 seconds
remaining in the second quarter against Argentina. In Panama's
upset 83-77 win over Uruguay, Archibold Brown hit a pair of free
throws, grabbed three rebounds and blocked two shots in seven
minutes of action. In Panama's final game of the Championship, a
74-67 loss to Mexico, Archibold Brown scored four points on 1-of-3
shooting from the field and 2-for-2 at the foul line, while
grabbing seven rebounds, including five on the offensive end, in 14
minutes of play. Panama finished the Championship in seventh place
with a 1-6 record.
