There have been a number of outstanding tennis players in the history of the Northeast-10, but the first of the all time greats came in the form of Roman Pavlik. He was the first king of the NE-10 courts and his four year reign established a true monarchy.
He is the only four-time player of the year in NE-10 history winning all four of his flighted tournament championships, posting an incredible individual record over that span of 86 wins against just 4 losses. Within that 86-4 record he went undefeated in regular season Division II singles play
His conference accolades led him to an All-American selection in 1996, and he performed in the classroom as well, earning a spot on the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.
Pavlik was both a Rolex East Champion and New England Champion.
