Carmelina Puopolo made a huge impact on NE10 women’s soccer during her time at Saint Rose, which included being a standout player on the 2011 National Championship team – the first and only women’s soccer program in the conference to win a Division II title. During five seasons at Saint Rose, she led the Golden Knights to four trips to the national semifinals. She is a two-time National Player of the Year selection – one in 2011 by the NSCAA and again in 2012 by Daktronics. Puopolo was a three-time All-American, as well as a CoSIDA Academic All-America honoree. She led Division II in points scored in 2011 and 2012, finishing her career third in points in NE10 history with 199. She becomes the first women’s soccer player from Saint Rose to be inducted into the NE10 Hall of Fame.
