Ezra Mutai accomplished a remarkable feat during his time at American International College – winning not one, but two, NCAA national titles in cross country and outdoor track & field. On November 23, 2019, Mutai won the NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country Championship at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California. Less than two years later, he would follow that up by winning the national title in the 10K at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship on May 27, 2021 in Allendale, Michigan. He is a six-time All-American and two-time selection as NE10 Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year. Mutai is the second cross country athlete and third track & field athlete from AIC to be inducted into the NE10 Hall of Fame.
