Ravens, Falcons Stake Claim to NE10 Men's Soccer Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. - A conspiracy of Ravens and a cast of Falcons dominated the 2023 Northeast-10 men's soccer postseason honors, with Franklin Pierce claiming Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and Co-Defensive Player of the Year in additon to seven First Team All-NE10 selections. Bentley received hardware for Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.

The third consecutive Raven to win Player of the Year and seventh in history, Khanoussi ranks third in Division II in goals per game with 17 total this season. Bestilliero is the fourth consecutive Raven, and also the seventh in history, to claim Defensive Player of the Year. Becoming the everyday keeper toward the end of September, Casillas follows Kosta Maniatis as the second consecutive Raven to be named Goalkeeper of the Year. Maniatis claimed the honor in 2021 and 2022.
Bentley's top player this fall, Hanchar is the first Bentley Defensive Player of the Year since 2012 (Weston Zeiner). This year marks the second time in NE10 history (2008) there was a tie for Defensive Player of the Year among the coaches. The Coach of the Year honor marks the second on Gary Crompton's mantel.
With seven goals and 16 points as a freshman, Taleb becomes the first American International men's soccer player to win Rookie of the Year.
All-conference teams and major award winners were voted on by the NE10's 11 head coaches. Each all-conference team is made up of 13 players, with four at each position and a keeper. The all-rookie team has 14 members due to a tie.
