NE10 Recognizes 68% of Student-Athletes on 2024 Spring Academic Honor Roll

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference recognized 68% of its overall student-athlete body on the Academic Honor Roll for the 2024 spring semester, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. It matches the percentage from the fall semester, which was the largest since the 2021 spring semester. 
 

Among its 12 member and five associate member institutions, the Conference recognized 3,720 student-athletes (68%) for their academic achievements. The Academic Honor Roll (AHR) acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations: Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49). 
 

11 of 12 NE10 full member institutions had at least 50% of their student-athletes earn AHR status. Six institutions reached 70% or higher, while 10 had at least 60% of their student-athletes recognized. 
 

Bentley had a league-high 83.7% of its student-athletes named to the AHR, while Pace was second with 80.3% and Adelphi was third at 80.0%. Saint Rose (76.1%) and Southern New Hampshire (71.3%) rounded-out the top five.

Among the 3,720 student-athletes honored, there were 496 that fell in the Academic Excellence category by earning a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) in the spring semester. American International led all institutions with 60 student-athletes that earned a 4.0 GPA. 
 

Bentley had the highest number of total honorees with 432, while Assumption was second (374) and New Haven was third (331). Football had a league-high 410 athletes recognized, while women's soccer led all female sports with 295. 
 

The NE10 had 10 sports produce 200 or more student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the spring semester. 11 of 12 NE10 institutions saw percentage increases compared to the 2023 spring semester, as Saint Rose led the way with a nine-point improvement.
