Week 1 - September 9, 2024
NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Joshua Tracey, Post
Junior | Wide Receiver | Avon, Conn.
Tracey had a historic game for Post in its first-ever home win to start the season last week against West Virginia Wesleyan College. Tracey set the program record for most single-game receiving yards with 163 yards on four receptions leading to two of his three touchdowns scored on the afternoon. Accounting for 18 of Post’s program-record 41 points, Tracey ran back a kickoff 95 yards for the other touchdown he had in the game, which was also a program record for longest kickoff return. Tracey also added five yards rushing to compile 168 total yards in the air and on the ground, another program record. Between that and his kickoff return yardage, Tracey accounted for 311 all-purpose yards with three touchdowns in the 41-24 victory.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Matt Duchemin, Bentley
Graduate Student | Cornerback | Haverhill, Mass.
Duchemin came up with a huge forced fumble late in the fourth quarter of Bentley's 20-17 win at West Chester. With four minutes left in regulation and the Falcons trialing 17-10, it appeared that West Chester had a victory in its grasp – as long as it took care of the ball. On the very first play of its drive, the Golden Rams' quarterback was hit in the backfield by Duchemin, and the ball came loose. Nick Pucillo pounced on the fumble, giving Bentley possession on the West Chester 15-yard line. The forced turnover set up Vinnie Holmes' game-tying touchdown.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Mason Campbell, Bentley
Graduate Student | Kicker | Naples, Fla.
Campbell kicked the game-winning 38-yard field goal as time expired to give Bentley a 20-17 win at West Chester. With his heroics, Campbell became Bentley's No. 8 all-time leading scorer (190) and he ranks No. 3 all-time for made field goals (31). Campbell also made a 35-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, totaling eight points in the game.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Myles Snead, Post
Freshman | Defensive Back | West Orange, N.J.
Helping out on a defense that allowed just 24 points in its first game of the season, Snead tied for the most tackles in Post's season-opening win last week against West Virginia Wesleyan College. In his first collegiate game, Snead totaled up 10 tackles with nine of them being solo and one being assisted as the Eagles went on to win their first home game in program history, 41-24.
