Adelphi Wins First NE10 Women's Golf Championship

Bentley's Isabel Gonzalez Wins Individual Medalist Honors.

GOFFSTOWN, N.H. - With four golfers finishing in the Top-10 on the individual leaderboard, Adelphi made program history on Wednesday - winning its first-ever Northeast 10 Conference Women's Golf Championship at Stonebridge Country Club.

As a team, Adelphi carded an 88-over (324) to win the conference title, as Filippa Schulze-Doering and Nikola Truhlarova had All-Championship Team performances. Schulze-Doering tied for second at 20-over (164) and Truhlarova was fifth at 21-over (165). Ivory Drusch (23-over) and Jenny Kim (24-over) finished tied for sixth and eighth, respectively.

Adelphi's margin of victory this year (23 strokes) was the sixth largest in conference history. Its previous best finish at an NE10 Championship was runner-up in 2022.

In only its second year of existence, the Bentley women's golf program finished as runner-up on Wednesday by shooting 111-over (347) as a team. Isabel Gonzalez won individual medalist honors for the Falcons, scoring a six-over (150) for the tournament - including a one-over (73) in the final round. Her 14-stroke margin of victory is the largest in NE10 Championship history.

Franklin Pierce finished third (+138), Saint Anselm was fourth (+143), Assumption was fifth (+168) and Jefferson was sixth (+182). Lorelai Flanagan and Yiyou Chen earned Top-5 finishes for Franklin Pierce to earn places on the All-Championship Team.

Jefferson senior Hailey Ambrose was named the Elite 24 Award winner, after recording a 3.98 GPA as a pre-medical studies major. The Elite 24 honors the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site of each NE10 Championship.
