NE10 Field Hockey Report: Week 5

Gracie Moore Captures Second Weekly Honor

Week 5 - October 6, 2025

NE10 Player of the Week

Elle Murray, Assumption
Senior | Forward | Worcester, Mass.

Murray was an offensive force for Assumption, recording five goals and one assist as they picked up a pair of 7-1 NE10 wins this past week. Against Franklin Pierce, she scored one goal and added an assist on Tuesday evening. Murray capped off the week with a career-high four goals at American International College on Saturday. She scored the first goals 86 seconds into the contest, before striking three more times in the second half.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Olivia Docyk, Adelphi
Junior I Back | Carle Place, N.Y.

Docyk served as the anchor of the defense for the panthers this past week, helping the team go 2-0 against tough conference opponents in Mercy and Saint Anselm. For Docyk, although no stats to her name, she was a big reason both teams were shutout, creating turnovers on defense and keeping teams out of the scoring circle. The Cats defense only allowed Mercy to take eight shots with four on goal for the game, as the defensive line, led by Docyk, smothered their offense. Against Saint Anselm, Docyk and the defensive line held the Hawks to 11 shots total and just six on goal, as the back line handled multiple offensive rushes by the former national champions, including a late fourth quarter push, when the Hawks created two penalty corners and a pair of shots.

NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Allison Gregory, Adelphi
Junior | Glen Allen, Va.

Gregory continued her stellar hot streak, going 2-0 and completing two shutouts during the week. Serving as the goalkeeper in all 120 minutes of play, Gregory made four saves against Mercy, and six saves against Saint Anselm. Shutting out a scrappy Mercy team, followed by a shutout of the no.9 team in the country and last year's national champions, who created lots of pressure on Gregory.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Clemence Papleux, St. Thomas Aquinas
Freshman | Forward | Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium?

Papleux tallied a hat trick on seven shots, including the overtime game winner on a penalty stroke, in STAC's 3-2 road victory against Molloy on Saturday.  All three goals came unanswered and in the game's final 15 minutes, helping STAC come from behind to win.
