Pace Rookie Shines as Setter Continue Strong Start

NE10 Swimmer/Rookie of the Week

Javier Cisternas-Gomez, Pace
Freshman I Santiago, Chile

Cisternas-Gomez won the 100 Back, 200 Back and 200 Medley Relay in Pace's head-to-head win against CSI last week.  He provided the team’s only relay win of the day and delivered a perfect sweep of the backstroke events. He ranks Top 5 in the NE10 in both backstoke races and is Top 50 nationally in the 100 Back.

NE10 Diver Player of the Week

Yubal Parra, CSI
Junior | Queens, N.Y.

The best diver in the NE10 last season, Parra has picked it up in 2025-26.  Yes, that is the same sentence from last week, and it's still true.  Parra broke the 1M and 3M records, ones that he set in the opening meets of the season, in the dual meet with Pace on Saturday. In the 1M (6-Dive) he raked in a score of 404.45 while in the 3M (6-Dive) he posted a 396.10 with his highest point value being a 10 in one of his final dives of the event.
