68% of Student-Athletes Earn Honor Roll Status

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the third consecutive semester, the Northeast-10 Conference announced that an impressive 68-percent of its overall student-athlete body has been selected to the Academic Honor Roll, as the data from the 2024 fall semester was announced by the league office on Thursday morning.

Among its 11 member and six associate member institutions, the Conference recognized 3,790 student-athletes for their academic achievements. The Academic Honor Roll (AHR) acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations: Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49).

10 of 11 NE10 full member institutions had at least 50-percent of their student-athletes earn AHR status. Six institutions reached 70% or higher, while 10 had at least 60% of their student-athletes recognized.

Adelphi had a league-high 85.2% of its student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, while Bentley ranked second at 84.1% and Pace was third at 78.6%. New Haven (71.5%) and Saint Michael's (70.6%) rounded-out the top five.

Among the 3,790 student-athletes honored, there were 499 that fell in the Academic Excellence category by earning a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) in the fall semester. Southern New Hampshire led all institutions with 78 student-athletes that earned a 4.0 GPA.

Bentley had the highest number of total honorees with 465, while Assumption was second (384) and Franklin Pierce tied with New Haven in third (366). Football had a league-high 505 athletes recognized, while women's soccer led all female sports with 307.

The NE10 had 10 sports produce 200 or more student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the fall semester. Six institutions saw percentage increases compared to the 2023 fall semester, as Adelphi led the way with a six-point improvement.
