MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Pace Setters, Saint Michael's Purple Knights, Bentley Falcons and SCSU Owls all claimed Northeast-10 major postseason honors Wednesday, headlined by Pace pitcher Gisselle Garcia repeating as Pitcher of the Year. Garcia, a candidate for National Pitcher of the Year, is among Division II's leaders in ERA, shutouts and strikeouts.
Garcia finished 21-2, her only losses coming on the road to ranked opponents. She last took a defeat on March 19th. The ace struck out 264 with a 0.63 ERA. She pitched 16 complete game shutouts and was named the Natonal Pitcher of the Week during the penultimate week of the regular season. Garcia becomes the first NE10 Pitcher to repeat as the single Pitcher of the Year in the league since SNHU's Ali Maloof in 2015, the final of her three consecutive awards.
Jenna Devens was voted the conference's Player of the Year. The Saint Michael's senior is the second Purple Knight to win a major league award, following only Meggan Roberge - the two-time Pitcher of the Year and 2004 Rookie of the Year. Devens has been nothing short of outstanding as a Knight, hitting a career-worst .398 as a sophomore in 2023. You read that correct -- a career-worst .398. Devens has spent fewer than 60 calendar days batting under .400 over her four seasons in Colchester. Devens finished 2025 leading the NE10 at .441 with 33 RBI.
Bentley senior Jordan Krause was named NE10 Defensive Player of the Year while SCSU's Izzy Ingersoll earned Rookie of the Year after batting .375 this spring. Pace head coach Claudia Stabile was named Coach of the Year for the second time in her career (2016). Pace finished the year 20-0 in league games and won 31-of-32 to close the regular season.
