Baker's Dozen NE10 Softball Student-Athletes Named All-Region

Pace Ace Garcia Named East Region Pitcher of the Year

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Thirteen selections of eight different student-athletes honored Northeast-10 softball players as All-Region team members, highlighting their elite play on the field this spring.  Those honorees now advance to All-America consideration.  Pace pitcher Gisselle Garcia headlined the group, earning All-Region First Team from both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the D2 Conference Commissioners Association.  The latter group named Garcia East Region Pitcher of the Year.

Garcia had an historic year for the still-playing Setters.  The team has ridden her right arm to an NCAA Super Regional for the first time in program history.  She's earned a decision in every Pace postseason victory this spring, picking up the win in the last six and a save in the first.  She's currently 27-3 with a 0.71 ERA.  Her 348 strikeouts this year are a carerr high and pushed her beyond 1,000 for her career -- a first in NE10 history.

Garcia was one of four players honored by both awarding organizations.  Pace's Brianna Shea, a First Team All-NE10 infielder was named Second Team by both the D2CCA and NFCA.  Assumption outfielder Kaitlyn Cahill - who became the AU's single-season stolen base queen this year - also earned second team, while Bentley's Jordan Krause was dubbed All-Region First Team by both.  Krause is the 2025 NE10 Defensive Player of the Year.  NE10 Player of the Year Jenna Devens earned First Team All-Region accolades from both organizations after hitting more than .400 her senior year.

Devens and Krause were the lone players in the NE10 to bat above .400 this season.  Smart joins her teammate Garcia as one of only two pitchers with a sub-two ERA.  FPU's catcher, Hartenstein was among the league's leading hitters all season and finished ranked third in the conference in RBI.  Cahill's 32 steals led the conference, but she also had some power to her 1-2 skill punch, sitting third in the NE10 in home runs at the end of the year.  Resetar was the league-leader in doubles and Shea among the top 10 in RBI.

Joining that quartet on the NFCA honoree list were Franklin Pierce's Charlit Hartenstein (NFCA 1st Team), Pace P Alyssa Smart (NFCA 1st Team) and SNHU DP Jordyn Resetar (NFCA 2nd Team).
