NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Northeast 10 Conference announced that an impressive 71-percent of its overall student-athlete body has been named to the Academic Honor Roll, as the data from the 2025 spring semester was announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.
It is the largest percentage of student-athletes named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll since the spring semester of 2020.
Among its 11 member and six associate member institutions, the Conference recognized 3,734 student-athletes for their academic achievements. The Academic Honor Roll (AHR) acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations: Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49).
Each NE10 full member institution had at least 50-percent of their student-athletes earn AHR status. Five institutions reached 70% or higher, while 10 had at least 60% of their student-athletes recognized.
Pace had a league-high 86.6% of its student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, while Bentley ranked second at 85.9% and Adelphi was third at 83.6%. New Haven (74.0%) and Southern New Hampshire (70.5%) rounded-out the top five.
Among the 3,734 student-athletes honored, there were 464 that fell in the Academic Excellence category by earning a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) in the fall semester. New Haven led all institutions with 74 student-athletes that earned a 4.0 GPA.
Bentley had the highest number of total honorees with 456, while Assumption was second (412) and New Haven in third (379). Football had a league-high 473 athletes recognized, while women's soccer led all female sports with 285.
The NE10 had 10 sports produce 200 or more student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the fall semester. Nine institutions saw percentage increases compared to the 2024 spring semester, as Saint Anselm led the way with an eight-point improvement.
