LeComte and Sacco Help Saint Michael's to Weekend Sweep

NE10 Player of the Week

Sj LeComte, Saint Michael's
Sophomore | Forward | Poert Monmouth, N.J.

LeComte scored four goals and finished +5 during a weekend sweep of Franklin Pierce. In a 9-3 win on Friday, he scored at 6:33 of the first period to make it 2-0 and again at 7:11 of the second to produce a 3-2 edge. During the Purple Knights' 4-2 win on Saturday, LeComte scored twice in a 5:18 span of the second period to singlehandedly rally his team from down a goal and give Saint Michael's the lead for good. 


NE10 Goaltender of the Week

Benjamin Cunneen, Post
Senior | Goaltender | Pembroke Pines, Fla.

Cunneen finished the weekend 2-0-0 for Post, allowing only two goals across a pair of victories for the Eagles, 3-1 and 5-1, over Southern New Hampshire. Cunneen allowed one goal in each game, while combining for 67 saves for a .971 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average after playing all 120 minutes. 
 


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Aj Sacco, Saint Michael's
Freshman | Forward | Middleton, Mass.

Sacco recorded two goals and two assists in a weekend sweep of Franklin Pierce, netting the game-winning goal in each contest. In a wild 9-3 win on Friday, he scored the tiebreaking strike at 13:29 of the second period before assisting another goal later in the period. During a 4-2 victory on Saturday, Sacco assisted the tying power-play goal at 6:52 of the second frame before scoring the eventual winner at 11:29 of the third, staking the Purple Knights to a 3-1 lead.
