Surrette Adds to Awards Haul; Named AHCA All-American

Assumption Forward Earned Third Team Honors

WORCESTER, Mass.— Assumption University men's ice hockey junior Jonathan Surrette capped off his historic season with a Third Team All-American selection, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association last week. 
 
NCAA Division II-III men's head coaches have recognized the top 30 hockey players in their division by selecting them as CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans for 2025-26. It is a diverse group coming from 20 schools, 12 states, and three Canadian provinces, as well as three players from outside North America (Finland, Russia, and Sweden).
 
Surrette, a junior forward from Woburn, Massachusetts, led his team to the NE10 regular season and conference tournament titles. During the season, he played in 33 games, scoring 34 goals and adding 31assists for a conference-record 65 points, while posting a +29 rating with the Greyhounds. Surrette earned Player of the Year and First Team All-NE10 honors while becoming just the second DII player to receive the Joe Concannon Award, and the first since 2010. He was also a finalist for the 2025-26 Sid Watson Division II/III National Player of the Year Award.
