Franklin Pierce Headlines Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll

Ravens Were National Finalists in 2025

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Franklin Pierce, the 2025 NCAA Division II national finalist, was voted first in the Northeast 10 Conference Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll as announced by the league office on Thursday morning. It is the second consecutive season that the Ravens have earned the top spot. 

Franklin Pierce received 77 points and seven first-place votes to lead all programs in the poll, which is voted on by league head coaches. Saint Anselm, the reigning NE10 champion, place second with 71 points, while Adelphi was third with 62 points and Saint Michael's was fourth with 59 points. All three programs received one first-place vote each. 

The Ravens advanced to the NCAA Division II national championship game for the eighth time in program history last season, where they fell to Florida Tech by a 3-0 margin. It was the second straight year that Franklin Pierce advanced to at least the national semifinals, finishing with a 17-3-5 overall record under head coach Matt Johnson. 

Saint Anselm is coming off its first NE10 Championship title since 1991, as it outlasted Franklin Pierce in penalty kicks at Melucci Field. The Hawks are led by Lee Moyce in his second season at the helm. Saint Michael's is also riding momentum after a historic season in 2025 where it set program records in wins (16) and shutouts (13) while advancing to the NE10 Championship semifinals for the first time in 36 years. 

SNHU finished fifth in the poll, followed by Bentley, Pace, Assumption, AIC and SCSU, respectively. 

The 2026 NE10 season opens on Thursday, August 27th, with four teams in action - including a rematch of last year's NCAA Division II Championship game between Franklin Pierce and Florida Tech. All home games and conference games can be watched this season on NE10 NOW on FloSports.
