Embrace the Victory: Adelphi Earns Top Seed in NE10 Women's Tennis Championship


Three-Way Tie for Regular-Season Champion.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi earned the top seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Women's Tennis Championship after winning a share of the league's regular season crown, as the conference office announced its championship seedings on Saturday afternoon.

For seedings and matchups for the 2019 NE10 Women's Tennis Championship, please see below.

Joining Adelphi with a share of the regular-season title was Southern New Hampshire and Stonehill, with the Panthers getting the top seed based on match score wins. All three teams were 9-1 in league action and 1-1 against each other, setting up strong matchups for the upcoming week. 

The Panthers and Penmen each earned a first-round bye and will host semifinal matches on Friday against the winners of Wednesday's opening round. Adelphi has won three of the past four NE10 titles, while Southern New Hampshire won three-straight championships from 2010-12. 

Stonehill, the third-seeded team, will host New Haven and Le Moyne, the four-seed, welcomes Franklin Pierce on Wednesday. The winner of the Stonehill-New Haven match will play Southern New Hampshire on Friday, while the Le Moyne-Franklin Pierce victor will head to Long Island to play Adelphi. 

The NE10 championship match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Sunday, October 27 at 1 p.m. Stay tuned for weather-related updates @TheNortheast10 on Twitter.
