Bentley Grabs Top Spot in NE10 Volleyball Championship.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Following a 12-1 record in Northeast-10 Conference play, Bentley earned the top seed in the upcoming NE10 Volleyball Championship – as the bracket came down to the final regular-season match between Southern Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire on Sunday morning.

The Falcons –who enjoyed a 16-match winning streak at one point this season – will enter as the No. 1 seed, while American International, Stonehill and Saint Anselm rounded-out the top four and will host quarterfinal matches on Tuesday.

Bentley clinched the NE10 regular season title on Friday and looks to claim its first league championship since 2006. American International, the only team to beat Bentley in the regular season, earned the No. 2 spot. Stonehill bested Saint Anselm and New Haven for the third seed, while the Hawks won the head-to-head matchup with the Chargers this season and are locked in at the fourth seed.

Le Moyne, Franklin Pierce and Southern Connecticut all managed to get into the NE10 Championship on Sunday, as the three teams held tiebreaker advantages in the four-way tie with Adelphi.

The NE10 volleyball quarterfinals are on Tuesday, with the highest seed remaining to host both the semifinals (Friday, Nov. 22) and championship (Saturday, Nov. 23) at their home site.

Semifinals - at highest remaining seed following the quarterfinal matches. Preferred times are 5:00 pm & 7:30 pm but semifinal match times will be confirmed after Tuesday's quarterfinals.
