NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
E'Lijah Gray, Southern Connecticut
Senior | Running Back | Somers Point, N.J.
Gray dominated the run game in SCSU's 35-21 win over American International, as his 22 carries produced 132 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and a touchdown, which came on a 15-yard run in the first quarter. He also caught a pair of passes for 15 yards, totaling 147 yards in the game.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Owen Fitzgerald, Assumption
Junior | Linebacker | Auburn, Mass.
Fitzgerald recorded 14 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, and one quarterback hurry, as the Greyhounds recorded a 27-7 win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday. He currently ranks second in the conference in tackles and leads the league with three sacks.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Kha'lil Eason, New Haven
Junior | Returner | Norwalk, Conn.
This week's NEFW Gold Helmet Award winner, Eason was electric on the kick return, racking up 231 yards on four returns for an average of 57.8 yards per return. Of his four returns, two went for 90+ yards (94, 96) and both of those ended in touchdowns. His 231 yards set a single-game school record.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Myles Snead, Post
Freshman | Defensive Back | West Orange, N.J.
Snead continued his hot start to his collegiate career defensively for Post in its 28-27 loss against Lake Erie this past weekend. Snead recorded four total tackles with two solos and two assisted in the loss as part of a defense that forced two turnovers on the day.
