NE10 Player of the Week

Albert Vargas, Southern Connecticut

Vargas had a huge week, helping the Owls to an upset victory over first-place Adelphi at home. Against the Panthers, he scored 25 points on 11-19 shooting, including 3-3 from three. He also added seven assists. Then, against Bentley, he scored 21, also recording five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. He now has eight games of 20+ points and nine games of 5+ assists on the season.  He averaged 23.0 points on 50% shooting and 5.5 assists this week for Southern Connecticut. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Erik Oliver-Bush, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Guard | Trenton, N.J.
 

Oliver-Bush helped the Hawks to a 2-0 week by averaging 13.5 points on 63% shooting, including 7-of-9 from three-point range (78%). He added 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. He scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 94-89 win over Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, while shooting 7-10 from the field and 5-5 from three. He then scored eight points, grabbed two rebounds, and blocked one shot in a 97-83 win over AIC on Saturday.
