NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Kieran Falzon, Southern Connecticut
Junior | Running Back | Hazlet, N.J.
Falzon, coming off NE10 Offensive Player of the Week honors, totaled a career-best 204 yards on 30 carries while scoring three times. For the NE10’s leading rusher, it was his second-straight game with 180-or-more yards and his third multiple-touchdown game in his last four outings. He now has five touchdowns in his last two games. Falzon now has 385 yards on 53 carries and five TD’s in his last two outings. For the year, Falzon leads the NE10 in rushing yards (781), yards per carry (7.1), yards per game (111.6) touchdowns (10) and points (60).
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Owen Fitzgerald, Assumption
Senior | Linebacker | Auburn, Mass.
Fitzgerald had a game-high 14 tackles, while adding 3.0 tackles for a loss and three quarterback hurries in Assumption's 35-14 win against AIC. The Greyhounds' defense held the Yellow Jackets' offense to just 61 yards in the second half.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Massimo Sgambati, Assumption
Senior | Kicker | Farmington Hills, Mich.
Sgambati was nearly perfect in Assumption's 35-14 win against American International on Saturday. He was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points, while his kickoffs had the Yellow Jackets' average starting field position at the 23.5-yard line. Sgambati also scored a 17-yard rushing touchdown on a fake field goal in the fourth quarter. Currently ranked fourth in the NE10 in points per game as an individual (7.0), and is one of two kickers in Division II to have a touchdown.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Kyle Scott, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Defensive Back | Middletown, N.Y.
In a 37-13 win against Saint Anselm, Scott had three tackles as part of Southern Connecticut's dominant defensive performance that held the Hawks scoreless for the final three quarters of the game.
