NE10 Player of the Week
Lana Mignon De Wet, Adelphi
Junior | Forward | Pretoria, South Africa
Mignon is one of the hottest players in the country, scoring eight times over her last three games. De Wet helped lead Adelphi to a 2-0 record last week, first beating Molloy, 8-0, followed up by a 5-0 victory over Saint Michael's. The junior had back-to-back hat tricks in each of the games, scoring six total goals during the week, closing out the regular season with 22 goals and 49 points to lead the conference and country (in goals).
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Laurentien van den Akker, Saint Anselm
Junior I Back | Geldrop, The Netherlands
van den Akker's offensive helped guide Saint Anselm to a 2-0 victory over its cross-town rival, Southern New Hampshire, as she assisted on the first and scored the second goal to help the Hawks past the Penmen in the regular season finale. The Hawks limited the Penmen to just eight shots and five corners, as they recorded their fifth consecutive shutout to round out the campaign.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Quinlyn Moll, AIC
Junior I Medford, N.J.
Making the first two starts of her collegiate career, Moll earned two victories for the Yellow Jackets, making 14 stops in the contests against Saint Michael's and Molloy. She ends the season with a .909 save percentage, having stopped 40 of 44 shots faced.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Jena Geels, Adelphi
Freshman | Forward | Hilversum, Netherlands
Geels helped the team to two straight wins during the week. During the team's 8-0 win over Molloy, she tallied two goals and two assists. After the big game against the Lions, Geels scored a goal in the team's 5-0 win over Saint Michael's to close out the regular season. Geels finishes the regular season as the conference's assist leader in her first collegiate campaign.
