General 12/17/2025 2:40:41 PM Three NE10 Soccer Players Earn Scholar All-Region Honors Haikal, Huttunen and Peirce Recognized. NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Three soccer players from the Northeast 10 Conference were named Scholar All-Region by United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday for their outstanding work on the field and in the classroom. Franklin Pierce's Jenni Huttunen and Claudia Peirce, as well as Bentley's Michael Haikal, were selected as Scholar All-Region honorees. It is the second-straight year that Peirce has been selected. Huttunen and Peirce recently helped lead the Ravens to a runner-up finish in the Division II Women's Soccer Championship. Both players were All-Conference and All-Region selections this season. Huttunen is a Biology major with a 3.60 GPA, while Peirce is a Health Sciences major with a 3.90 GPA. Peirce won the Elite 24 Award for the second consecutive year at the NE10 Women's Soccer Championship for having the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site. Haikal, the NE10 Player of the Year, led Bentley to its first regular season conference title since the 1995 season. He was a multi-time All-America selection this season, including First Team honors from United Soccer Coaches. Haikal was recognized for his work in the classroom too, being selected Third Team Academic All-America by College Sports Communicators (CSC). He is a Finance major with a 3.58 GPA. All three players advance for consideration on the Scholar All-America teams, which will be announced on Thursday.
