NE10 Track Athlete of the Week
David Williams, Adelphi
Senior I Farmingdale, N.Y.
Williams ran the 200m and dominated the 60m Hurdles in the Adelphi opener at the Fastrack National Invite. Williams ran in 7.99 seconds to hit under eight for the first time in his career and posted an NCAA provisional mark that currently ranks sixth in the country. His hurdle time also set an Adelphi indoor record.
NE10 Field Athlete of the Week
Carson Thomas, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore I Washington Township, N.J.
Thomas put up a PR in the high jump to open the season at the Springfield College Home Opener. Thomas jumped 2.02m to win the event and post the top jump in the NE10 this past weekend.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Sean Horrigan, Southern Connecticut State
Freshman
SCSU went across town to the Yale Season Opener and Horrigan began his college career winning the pole vault at 4.40m. He's the best pole vaulter in the NE10 after one week.
