NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Fresh off a second consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship and a second straight National Most Outstanding Player honor, Adelphi goalie Dylan Renner signed this week with the Utah Archers of the Premier Lacrosse League.
The Archers are the defending PLL champions, claiming thier second title last summer in the sport's highest league. Renner will play under Brett Dobson -- a former St. Bonaventure keeper who was named Finals MVP last year.
Renner becomes one of seven active players in the PLL to come out of a DII or DIII university as their final collegiate stop and currently the lone player from the NE10. His 6.82 goals against average this spring ranked him second among all NCAA goalies at any level. Renner ranked sixth among DI and DII keepers in save percentage.
Utah opens the season in Albany on Saturday and plays in the NE10 footprint several times this summer. The PLL returns to the northeast to play in Philadelphia June 13th and 14th, Fairfield July 18th and 19th and Boston on August 8th and 9th.
