General 7/9/2025 12:00:00 PM NE10 Represented on Men's At-Large Academic All-America Team Four Lacrosse Players and Two Ice Hockey Players Honored. NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Six student-athletes from the Northeast 10 Conference were named to the Academic All-America Men's At-Large teams on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC). A group of four lacrosse players was highlighted by Adelphi's Kyle Lewis, who earned First Team honors with a 3.61 GPA as a Physical Education major. He was joined by Saint Michael's Sebastian Simonson, who earned Second Team honors, as well as a pair of Third Team honorees in Adelphi's Michael Durnin and Bentley's Nathan Alviti. Lewis, the USILA Outstanding Midfielder of the Year, scored the game-winning goal in overtime of the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship to lead Adelphi to its second-straight national title - and ninth in program history. He was also named Most Outstanding Player of the NE10 Men's Lacrosse Championship. Simonson, the NE10 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, posted a 3.86 GPA as a Biochemistry major. Durnin, the NE10 Elite 24 Award winner in men's lacrosse, had a 3.91 GPA in Accounting. Alviti, also in Accounting, posted a 3.84 GPA - following up his Second Team selection in 2023. All four players earned All-America honors from USILA following the 2025 season. A pair of NE10 ice hockey players were also selected as Academic All-Americans, as both Saint Michael's David Ciancio and Southern New Hampshire's Collin Berke earned Third Team status. Cianco had a 3.87 GPA in Business Administration and Accounting, while Berke tallied a 3.95 GPA in Accounting and Finance. Berke was named NE10 Goaltender of the Year after leading the conference in shutouts (5) and ranking second in goals against average (2.23). Both Berke and Ciancio were named First Team All-Conference. Six members of the Academic All-America Division II at-large teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate or graduate work. The 17 members on the First Team have an average GPA of 3.78, with the entire 45-man team holding a collective average GPA of 3.81. The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
