NE10 Offensive Player of the Week
Adrian Parker, Franklin Pierce
Junior | Quarterback | Manchester, Conn.
Parker led Franklin Pierce to its first-ever win over Bentley with a dominant performance, completing 18 of 30 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns, while adding a one-yard rushing score. Parker accounted for four of the Ravens' five touchdowns, guiding an offense that racked up 422 total yards in the 35-21 road victory.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Tindell Frick, Assumption
Senior | Defensive End | Duxbury, Mass.
Frick was dominant in Assumption's 30-8 win over Saint Anselm on Friday evening. The senior defensive end from Duxbury, Mass. set new career-high's with 13 total tackles (4 solo), 2.5 sacks for 17 yards, one forced fumble, three quarterback hurries, one pass breakup and one blocked kick. Frick now leads the conference with 4.0 sacks. As a defense, the Hounds allowed zero points, while also adding six sacks, eight tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks, five pass breakups, and 12 quarterback hurries.
NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week
Daniel Benzi, Southern Connecticut
Junior | Kicker | Middletown, Conn.
Benzi led the NE10 in field goal percentage for the week after converting his only attempt to give Southern a 10-3 lead in a win against AIC. Benzi was also 1-for-1 on point after attempts. In a low-scoring game, he contributed four points to help head coach Joe Loth win his first game with the Owls.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Alexis Ruiz Ortiz, Assumption
Freshman | Right Tackle | Killingly, Conn.
Ruiz Ortiz headlines an offensive line that allowed just two sacks and just four quarterback hurries. Assumption ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, to secure the 30-8 win against Saint Anselm.
