TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Bentley survived Southern Connecticut's upset bid on Sunday afternoon by a 5-3 margin in penalty kicks. The Falcons scored on all five of their penalty kick attempts, with leading scorer Abi Hennessey netting the last one to send the Falcons to the NE10 Championship semifinals.
  • Saint Michael's defense stifled American International (AIC), holding the Yellow Jackets to just four shots (two on goal) as a team. Sam McDonough and Lola Follansbee scored goals for the Purple Knights.
  • Saint Anselm's Madison Botta scored the game-winner in the 62nd minute against Assumption - just 14 minutes after Assumption's Elizabeth Schoeneberger tied the game.

KEY MOMENTS
  • Bentley and Southern Connecticut (SCSU) exchanged goals in the first three minutes of Sunday's game - but went scoreless in the ensuing 107 minutes (including overtime), which led to penalty kicks.
  • Sam McDonough scored a goal for Saint Michael's in the 10th minute, proving to be the eventual game-winner as the Purple Knight's defense took it from there. Goalkeeper Chloe Laizer made a pair of saves for Saint Michael's.
  • Saint Anselm outshot Assumption, 21-10, including a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal, to control the game offensively.

GAME NOTES
  • It is the first time in program history that Bentley will host a semifinal game in the NE10 Championship. In five prior semifinal games, Bentley was always the lower seeded team.
  • It is the second straight season that Saint Michael's has advanced to the semifinals of the NE10 Championship. Prior to 2025, the Purple Knights had not advanced to the semifinals since 1989.
  • It is the third straight trip to the semifinals for Saint Anselm, which looks to defend its NE10 Championship title from a year ago.
