Saint Michael's women's basketball made history this winter, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the first time. The Purple Knights earned the eight seed in the East Region and a date with NE10 Champion SCSU in the NCAA opening round.
Jayla Tyler has been one of the biggest contributors for SMC since arriving last season, bringing postseason experience from her rookie season at The College of Saint Rose. Since arriving in Vermont, Tyler has been one of the best offensive rebounders in the NE10 and provided a cornerstone for her program's turnaround over the last two seasons.
Tyler discusses the feeling of seeing her team's name called on Sunday night, what to expect in the postseason, her decision to transfer to Saint Mike's, playing with her sister and what the Purple Knights need to do against SCSU.

ABOUT THE NE10
The NE10 is an association of 10 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.
Each year, 4,500 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 24 sports, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the NE10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
