Three Players Earn WBCA All-America Honors

Forbes, Morgen and Steinauer Earn Honorable Mention Status.

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Three women's basketball players from the Northeast 10 Conference were named Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Wednesday afternoon.

Leading the group was Saint Anselm's Tatum Forbes, the NE10 and D2CCA East Region Player of the Year, and she was joined by Bentley's Niya Morgen and Southern Connecticut's Rheyna Steinauer. All three players were All-Conference and All-Region selections this year.

The WBCA NCAA Division II Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and Coaches' All-America team are selected by the WBCA NCAA Division II Awards Committee from coaches and student-athletes who are nominated by WBCA member coaches.

Forbes led all NE10 players this season in scoring (18.3 points per game) and assists (5.1 per game), on her way to becoming the second consecutive Saint Anselm player to win Player of the Year - following Melanie Hoyt in 2024-25. She started every game for the Hawks, averaging over 34.0 minutes per game across 23 contests. Nationally, she ranked in the top 20 in Division II in assists per game.

Morgen helped lead Bentley to its second straight NE10 regular season title, as she averaged a team-high 14.2 points per game on 43.6% shooting - along with 5.1 rebounds. Steinauer led Southern Connecticut to its first NE10 Championship title since 2007 and the top seed in the East Regional, while ranking fourth in the NE10 in scoring (15.0 points) and three-point field goal percentage (38.7).
