NE10 Player of the Week

Dajana Abadzic, Southern New Hampshire

Abadzic went 5-1 during a 3-0 week for SNHU, including 2-1 in singles. Abadzic’s only loss came to Holy Cross’ Phoebe Devine (5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6) at the top flight in a 4-3 win Wednesday. She bounced back with a No. 1 singles win against Marie Knispel (6-2, 3-6, 6-4) in a 4-3 victory at Assumption on Thursday and closed the week in Saturday’s 5-2 triumph over Saint Michael’s with a 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-8 win against Olivia Larsen at No. 2. Abadzic also teamed with Lois Tsui for a trio of No. 1 doubles wins against Holy Cross’s Devine and Margaret Winiecki (6-4), Assumption’s Darja Trinerova and Marian Aguirre (6-2), and Saint Michael’s Lucy McPherson and Jedidah Xu (6-2).

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Ines Gabarro, Franklin Pierce
Freshman | Barcelona, Spain

Gabarro went 2–1 at No. 1 singles, earning wins over Assumption (6–2, 6–4) and Bentley (6–3, 6–3). She also went a perfect 3–0 at No. 2 doubles, posting wins against Bentley (6–2), Saint Michael’s (6–2), and Assumption (6–4). Across the week, Gabarro recorded five total wins while competing at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles.
