Saint Michael's Earns a Pair of Defensive Honors

NE10 Player of the Week

Alexandra Leggio, Adelphi
Senior | Attacker | Seaford, N.Y.

Leggio put up a career performance against No. 18 Mercy in non-conference action last week. She scored six times to go alongside six assists for the Panthers, totaling 12 points in a 20-9 victory. 


NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Julia Barbato, Saint Michael's
Junior | Defender | Reading, Mass.

Barbato posted 10 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers while aiding a defense that recorded a 6.00 GAA during a 2-0 week. She notched four caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 14-9 win at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday before adding seven ground balls and six caused turnovers - matching the most by an NE10 player over the past two seasons - in a 17-3 win at AIC on Saturday. 


NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

Aby Amigo, Saint Michael's
Freshman | Goalkeeper | Essex, Mass.

Amigo recorded a 6.00 GAA, .613 save percentage and 9.5 saves per game during a 2-0 week. She made 10 stops with two ground balls in a 14-9 win at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday before totaling nine saves and one ground ball in a 17-3 victory at AIC on Saturday.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Molly Trahan, Assumption
Freshman | Attacker | Reading, Mass.

In two games this week, Trahan led Assumption to a 2-0 record, scoring five goals and adding two assists. She scored a goal in a 14-11 upset win over No. 20 Saint Anselm, and then capped off the week with a career day, scoring four goals and two assists in a 16-9 win over SNHU.
