Adelphi Leads with 14 All-NE10 Nods, Lewis Named Player of the Year

Last Year's National Title Hero Captures NE10's Top Honor

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - For the third straight spring - and four out of five - an Adelphi Panther has earned the Northeast 10's top men's lacrosse individual honor.  Recently the lone NCAA DII student-athlete drafted by the Premiere Lacrosse League this season, Kyle Lewis added to his trophy case with NE10 Player of the Year, as voted on by the league's head coaches.  Lewis follows teammate Braden Donnellan and former teammate Dylan Renner as most recent winners.

The hero of last season's overtime NCAA championship win, Lewis followed up his All-American year with another 25 goal and 18 assist comapaign in 2026 thus far.  He's steered Adelphi to an undefeated record and season-long No. 1 ranking.

Major honors were also doled out to Adelphi's Ries Bower and Christian Tomei.  Bower was named NE10 Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season.  He was NE10 Co-Rookie of the Year in 2024, making him a major award winner each year in college.  The Canadian junior was also named national Defensive Player of the Year by the USILA last spring.

A transfer from Belmont Abbey, Tomei captures Goalkeeper of the Year to Long Island the fourth straight season and sixth time in the last nine seasons.  National Player of the Year Dylan Renner had won NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year for three straight seasons before his graduation last spring.  Tomei continued the great goalie legacy for the Panthers this season, leading the NCAA in goals against average and save percentage for much of the year.

Boomer Staunton posted one of the best single games in the country this season when he found the cage 10 times in 60 minutes.  He rode that into a 50 goal, 10 assist season for Assumption, setting the program's single season goals record.  For his efforts, Staunton was named NE10 Offensive Player of the Year.  Staunton is the first Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year or Defensive Player of the Year in Assumption men's lacrosse history.

Winning nearly 70% of face-offs he took this season, Saint Anselm's Quinn Gannon earned Face-Off Specialist of the Year after ranking second in Division II in his department. Gannon currently boasts the top face-off percentage in the NE10 since 2019.

Dameer Phifer made waves in Springfield for AIC this spring, breaking the school records for ground balls and caused turnovers, set by Carter Linkletter and Bower.  His caused turnovers number also broke the NCAA record previously set by Bower.  Chris Davis shined in a different way, leading the Saint Michael's offense with 27 goals and 13 assists.  Both players were named Rookie of the Year.

Saint Michael's coach Alex Smith also earned respect from his colleagues, taking hom Coach of the Year after going 9-4, jumping in and out of the national rankings, despite graduating a significant portion of last season's squad.
