NE10 Men's Lacrosse Report: Week 8

Adelphi Wins Game of the Year in DII Lacrosse

Week 8 - April 6, 2026

NE10 Player of the Week

Michael Durnin, Adelphi
Sophomore I Attack I Massapequa
, N.Y.

Durnin was the team's point leader as No.1 Adelphi took down No. 2 Saint Anselm in overtime Saturday in the DII game-of-the-year to this point. He netted five goals on six shots and was responsible for two helpers. His fourth quarter goal with 3:47 left was the equalizer that ultimately sent the game into an extra period.  The Panthers would go on to win in OT after Braden Donnellan's game winner in the closing minutes.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Kyle Piersiak, Bentley
Senior | Defense | Needham, Mass.

Piersiak led a Bentley defense that limited its opponents to just seven and six goals in a 2-0 week. He had three CTs and four GBs, plus one goal and one assist, in a 16-7 win at Southern New Hampshire on April 1. Piersiak notched three CTs and three GBs in Saturday's 16-6 win over AIC.

NE10 Goalie of the Week

Nicholas Kendall, American Int'l
Sophomore I Plymouth, Mass.

Kendall was a bulwark in net for AIC in two games against nationally-regarded opponents, turning back a total of 45 shots with nine ground balls, forcing five turnovers, while also personally clearing the ball six times. He even came close to scoring, putting a shot on target against Bentley.  Kendall is second nationally in saves per game and is coming off one of his better save percentage weeks of the spring.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Harrison Murray, Bentley
Freshman I Attack I Cary, N.C.

Murray led Bentley with 10 points in a 2-0 week with both wins on the road. He had six goals and four assists -- both team highs for the week. He scored four goals and had two assists in a victory at Southern New Hampshire on April 1 (no joke). In Saturday's win at AIC he notched two goals and two assists.
