Six Men's Golfers Named PING All-Region

Adelphi's Lineup and SNHU's Surprenant Earn Honors

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Six Northeast 10 men's golfers earned All-Region recognition Tuesday, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.  The 2026 NE10 medalist from SNHU, Andrew Surprenant, was named to the squad along with the five top golfers from Adelphi - the No. 1 team in the East Region this spring.

The NE10 Player of the Year, Francis Lanuza ended the year as the No. 1 ranked player in the conference.  He shot an average score of 73.2 and two over par.  He is one of two seniors for AU that was selected to the All-Region team along with Johnny Solari, who ranked No. 4 in the league this year.

The 2024 NE10 Championship medalist, Mitchell Archer, followed up his rookie campaign with a sophomore season that scored him third in the league, averaging a 1.9 average shots to par and hitting an adjusted score of 74.5.  A pair of Panther rookies, Zeus Sara and Ike Rothman, round out the Adelphi All-Region contingent.  Sara was named the NE10 Rookie of the Year.

Surprenant began his year strong, winning the NE10 Championship in the fall.  His overall average to par sat a 1.6 for the season with an adjusted score average of 74.9.  He ranked fifth in the NE10 at the end of the year and eighth in the region.  He retains two years of eligibility for the Penmen.

Adelphi ended the season finishing fifth at the Atlantic/East Regional.  Rothman had the best individual finish in 16th.
