NE10 Announces Team Academic Excellence Winners for 2025-26

Bentley and AIC lead the way with four teams honored

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - All 10 full-member Northeast 10 schools had student-athlete cumulative GPA's greater than 3.0 throughout the 2025-26 academic year, highlighting the classroom strength across the conference this year.  More than 91% (193 of 211) teams in the conference posted team GPA's over 3.0 as well, as the NE10 unveiled the conference's Team Academic Excellence winners on Tuesday.

Bentley and American International led the way with four team winners each.  The Falcons had the top academic football, women's volleyball, men's lacrosse and men's track & field teams.  Bentley's football and volleyball squads were also the league campions on the field/court.  AIC captured top academic team honors for men's golf, field hockey, softball and women's soccer.  Bentley and Pace were the two NE10 institutions with every team to achieve a 3.0 or greater GPA.

While 91% of teams had 3.0 GPA's, there were also 59.24% (125) with 3.30 GPA's and 28.44% (60) with 3.50 GPA's.  The conference GPA across the board was 3.275.

Teams that were dominant both on the field and in the classroom included SNHU men's soccer (Team Academic Excellence / Final Four), Bentley Volleyball (Team Academic Excellence / NE10 Champions), Bentley Football (Team Academic Excellence / NE10 Champions), Bridgeport Men's Swim and Dive (Team Academic Excellence / NE10 Champions), Adelphi Men's and Women's Tennis (Team Academic Excellence / NE10 Champions), Pace Women's Lacrosse (Team Academic Excellence / Final Four).

There were three Team Academic Excellence honors won by associate members of the NE10: Jefferson Women's Golf, Bridgeport Men's Swim and Dive, Staten Island Women's Swim and Dive.
