Adelphi Selected First in Men's Tennis Coaches' Poll

Panthers are Three-Time Reigning NE10 Champions

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Adelphi, the three-time reigning league champion, was selected first in the Northeast 10 Conference Men's Tennis Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning. In the 2026-27 season, the Panthers will look to become the fourth NE10 program to ever win four-straight conference titles (Springfield, Assumption, SNHU). 

Adelphi earned the top spot in the poll with 15 points and three first-place votes, while SNHU (13 points) and Assumption (11 points) finished second and third, respectively. Saint Michael's (6 points) was fourth and Franklin Pierce (5 points) was fifth. 

Coming off its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, Adelphi - led by head coach Rebecca Fakas - finished 8-2 in league play last season and tied Assumption for the NE10 regular season title. The Panthers went on to blank the Greyhounds in the NE10 Championship match, 4-0. Andrea Albiero and Leo Silverston, two members of the 2026 All-Championship Team, return to Adelphi this season. 

SNHU, a six-time NE10 champion, returns a pair of First Team All-Conference singles players in Aurel Creveuil and Carlos Molero. Assumption, which earned a share of the regular season title last year, advanced to the NE10 Championship match for the first time since 2007. The Greyhounds have won a record nine NE10 Championship titles in program history. 

The 2026-27 NE10 season opens on Saturday, September 5th, with a pair of teams in action. The NE10 Championship is played in the spring.
