Should men and women run the same distances in cross country? Saint Michael's coach Molly Peters has been an advocate for it for a long time ... not just in cross country but also in nordic skiing. She was successful advocating for it in the snow, but she's still hard at work trying to create change in cross country too. This weekend marks the fifth time the Purple Knights will host the Equality Invitational with both the men and women running an 8k distance.
Peters joins the podcast to talk about how she began the race, what training for the race is like, what she hopes for the future of cross country and what the course is like. Saint Michael's is set to host the NE10 Championship next fall.
