Receiver Makes Statement in First Game in Springfield

American International picked up a season-opening win last week, topping Monroe, 17-3, in Springfield.  Transfer receiver Hardley Gilmore led the Yellow Jackets and picked up Northeast 10 Offensive Player of the Week honors.  It's the first chapter of what could be a big year for Gilmore, who comes to AIC from the SEC, where he caught passes for nearly 500 yards in two seasons for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Gilmore's journey from Kentucky to AIC starts in one of the most famous football hotbeds of the south -- Muck City.  A native of Belle Glade, Fla., Gilmore's hometown is known for developing NFL speed through the practice of chasing rabbits through the sugar cane fields.

Gilmore joins the podcast to talk about rabbit chasing, coming to AIC, his expectations for the season and his family legacy in football.
