It is the third-straight year that the two top seeds play for the NE10 Championship. No. 2 Adelphi bested No. 3 Assumption, 4-0, while No. 1 New Haven blanked No. 4 Southern New Hampshire, 4-0. As the top seed, New Haven will host Adelphi on Sunday in the Championship final. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. Adelphi looks for its second-consecutive NE10 Championship title and fourth in program history, while New Haven seeks its first conference championship. No. 1 New Haven 4, No. 4 SNHU 0 - Box Score New Haven, the NE10 regular season champion, made program history on Friday by advancing to its first-ever conference championship final after a convincing 4-0 win against No. 4 Southern New Hampshire. Victoria Togores picked up wins at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles for the Chargers. ?Togores teamed with Risako Umekuni for a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles, beating the previously undefeated team of SNHU's Lois Tsui and Justina Haver. It was the clinching win in doubles, earning New Haven the point. In singles, New Haven's Agustina Ravera won at No. 6 (6-1, 6-1) over SNHU's Katelyn Nichols, while New Haven's Karim Carreras won at No. 2 (6-2, 6-1) over Dajana Abadzic. Lastly, it was Togores who again sealed the deal - this time, the match - with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Zuzanna Krygier at No. 4. After earning its first outright NE10 regular season title, New Haven claimed the top seed in the Women's Tennis Championship and will host Adelphi in Sunday's final. Chris Raffone, who stands at the helm for New Haven, was named NE10 Coach of the Year on Thursday. No. 2 Adelphi 4, No. 3 Assumption 0 - Box Score In a rematch of the NE10 regular season finale, it was once again Adelphi that came out on top - as the No. 2 seed blanked No. 3 Assumption by a 4-0 margin. Zuzanna Witkowska and Roisin Boyd led the way for the Panthers with both singles and doubles wins, respectively. Witkowska was joined by teammate Katarina Liedbeck for a win at No. 1 doubles, 6-1, over Assumption's Laurence Bosmans and Caroline Mader. At No. 2 doubles, Boyd and Caterina Federici took down the team of Carolina de Souza and Danielle de Souza by a 6-2 score. In singles action, Adelphi won at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 to clinch the match. Witkowska defeated Mader at No. 2 (6-2, 6-4), Boyd beat Marie Knispel (6-2, 6-1) and Sara Lindeman bested Danielle de Souza (6-2, 6-1). Adelphi looks for its second-straight NE10 title on Sunday.
