MANSFIELD, Mass. - New Haven, the Northeast-10 Conference champion, earned the top seed in the East Region of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship on Monday night when the Selection Show aired on NCAA.com.
Joining New Haven in the NCAA field was Adelphi, the NE10 runner-up, as the No. 5 seed. Adelphi will play No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas in regional play on Monday, May 12, with the winner going on to play No. 1 New Haven on Tuesday, May 13.
Following the conclusion of regional play, 16 teams will advance to compete at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla. - which will begin on May 21 and continue through May 25 with the national championship match.
New Haven (15-1, 8-0 NE10) lost just one match all year in a historic season where it won the first NE10 title in program history. Adelphi (10-6, 7-2 NE10) qualifies for its second-straight NCAA Championship.
