Post's Tracey Earns NEFWA Gold Helmet Award

NE10 Offensive Player of the Week

Adrian Parker, Franklin Pierce
Redshirt Sophomore | Quarterback | Manchester, Conn.
 

Parker was 34-of-53 passing (64.2%) for 479 yards and four touchdowns to contribute to Franklin Pierce's attempt to a comeback against New Haven in a 45-34 loss. Parker broke the school record for both completed passes (34) and passing yards (479). He currently ranks first in the conference in passing. 


NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Henry Schouten, Bentley
Junior | Linebacker | Englewood, Fla.

 

Schouten had a game-high 19 tackles (eight unassisted) in Bentley's 34-24 win over Southern Connecticut, while recovering a fumble that he forced and adding a sack. 


NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week

Joshua Tracey, Post
Junior | Wide Receiver/Returner | Avon, Conn.

 

Tracey continued to lead Post offensively this week against Pace in the team’s first-ever conference matchup in school history - a narrow 23-21 defeat. For the second time this season, Tracey had over 100 kick return yards, going for 117 total and one touchdown which was on a kickoff return for 91 yards. The junior also snagged five receptions for 148 yards and a program record-tying 74-yard touchdown grab for the longest touchdown reception in school history while tacking on three yards rushing. In all, Tracey finished the day with 268 all-purpose yards, five receptions, two carries, two kick return attempts, and two touchdowns in the 23-21 loss for the Eagles. On Sunday, Tracey was named the New England Football Writers Association Weekly Gold Helmet Award Recipient for his efforts, making it the first time in program history a player from Post has received that honor.   


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Jake Croce, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Running Back | Point Pleasant, N.J.

 

Croce ran for 94 yards on just eight carries (11.8 yards per rush) to go with two touchdowns in a 37-20 win for Saint Anselm over American International. His touchdown runs came from 60 yards and 19 yards. It was the first-career start for Croce.
