Who Was Among This Week's Faces in the Crowd?

Jessica Evans and Sydney DeRoach Were Big Goal Scorers

Each week during the academic year, the NE10 honors Athletes of the Week for all of its 24 sponsored sports while they are in season. Faces in the Crowd shines a spotlight on outstanding on-field performances that didn't earn Athlete of the Week recognition, while also highlighting academic or community efforts from student-athletes across the league.

Below are this week's NE10 Faces in the Crowd.

Andrew Surprenant
School
: SNHU
Sport: Men's Golf

Surprenant cruised at last week's NE10 Men's Golf Championship, finishing eight under par and the only golfer to finish under.  He became just the fourth men's golfer in the NE10 over the last five championships to finish under par.

Isaiah Osgood
School
: Bentley
Sport: Football

Osgood has ripped off two of the ten longest runs in the NE10 this fall, scampering for a 53-yard score vs. Post last week out of the wildcat.  He was also 4-4 passing behind NE10 Player of the Week Luke Warnock.

Jessica Evans
School
: Mercy
Sport: Field Hockey

Evans is among the NE10's leading goal scorers this fall with nine and found the cage in each of Mercy's game's last week.  She posted five points in the team's win at Saint Michael's and added another goal in an overtime thriller against Franklin Pierce.

Sarah Henault
School
: SCSU
Sport: Volleyball

One of the better liberos in the NE10 this fall, Henault eclipsed 20 digs for the fifth time when she posted 28 against Assumption last week.  The total is the third-most put up by an NE10 defender this fall and helped the Owls to a five-set winner.

Sydney DeRoche
School
: Bentley
Sport: Women's Soccer

DeRoche went nuts vs. D'Youville in a 6-0 Bentley win.  The sophomore from Swampscott, Mass. scored twice and assisted on two more goals, good for six points.  It was the best game of DeRoche's career and nearly matched her previous season total for points.
