Who Was Among This Week's Faces in the Crowd?

Dietz Does it All for AIC and McClure is a Brick Wall

Each week during the academic year, the NE10 honors Athletes of the Week for all of its 24 sponsored sports while they are in season. Faces in the Crowd shines a spotlight on outstanding on-field performances that didn't earn Athlete of the Week recognition, while also highlighting academic or community efforts from student-athletes across the league.

Below are this week's NE10 Faces in the Crowd.

Connor Dietz
School
: AIC
Sport: Football

Dietz makes his second appearance on this list this season, making an impact in multiple phases of AIC's attack.  Dietz passed for a season-high 135 yards while also running for 115 and hauling in a pair of receptions.  Dietz scored two touchdowns.

Elizjah Lewis
School
: Pace
Sport: Football

Lewis continues to be a shining spot for the Setters.  Saturday marked his third straight game over 100 yards combined with multiple touchdowns.  Lewis caught six balls for 137 yards and a pair of scores.  He hauled in a season-best 70-yard touchdown and did it all against a Division I team in New Haven.

Kaylise McClure
School
: Mercy
Sport: Field Hockey

McClure made 17 saves to keep the Mavericks in the game against now No. 10 Adelphi.  the total wasn't even a season-best for McClure, how'd previously made 23 saves vs Pace, working as a brick wall in Dobbs Ferry all season.

Mackenzie Casey
School
: Adelphi
Sport: Volleyball

Casey posted one of the top hitting percentages in the NE10 for a single match last week, batting .727 against Assumption in a three-set sweep.  Casey had eight kills on 11 error-free swings.  She's hit over .700 in three of five matches for the Panthers.

Michael Guarnieri
School
: Saint Anselm
Sport: Football

Guarnieri connected on a 40-yard field goal against Post on the road Saturday.  The kick stands as the second-longest made in the NE10 this season.  That was how Guarnieri ended his day.  How he started it was maybe more impressive, converting a successful onside kick to open the game.
