NE10 Player of the Week
Macarty McQueen, Adelphi
Senior | Outside Hitter | Carmel, Ind.
McQueen averaged 4.42 kills and 2.17 digs per set last week, helping the Panthers go 4-0, with an NE10 victory in the stretch. She posted 11 or better kills in each game played and accounted for one double-double in a win over STAC. Impressivley, she posted a .425 hitting percentage over 12 sets.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Blinn, Bentley
Senior | Middle Blocker | Concord, N.H.
Blinn totaled 22 blocks in a 3-0 week for Bentley, averaging an incredible 2.44 blocks per set. She tallied 11 blocks in a 3-0 win over Assumption, coming up one block short of matching her career-high. Blinn is currently tied for the Division II lead in blocks per set (1.76).
NE10 Setter of the Week
Ana Carolina Westerich, Adelphi
Junior | Setter | Blumenau, Brazil
Through four matches, Westerich averaged 11.83 assists per set as the Panthers extended their win streak, winning all four in straight sets. For the week she totaled 142 assists and added eight service aces to boot. Additionally, she was responsible for 3.72 sigs per set, accounting for two double-doubles.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Kimi Mitchell, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Setter | Campobello, S.C.
Mitchell helped the Owls to a 2-0 week with a total of 69 assists, 25 digs and back-to-back double-doubles. In a 3-0 victory against Dominican, Mitchell recorded her first double-double of her career with a team-best of 32 assists, a career-best of 14 digs, a career-best of four service aces and four kills. In a 3-1 victory against Molloy, Mitchell had her second straight double-double, as she totaled a team-best of 37 assists, 11 digs, a career-best of eight kills, three blocks and two service aces against the Lions. Mitchell is ranked seventh in the NE10 in assists with an average of 5.86 assists per set.
