Bentley's Haikal Named Academic All-America

NE10 Player of the Year Adds to Trophy Case in Waltham

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass.  – On the heels of one of the best soccer seasons in 20 years in Waltham, the Bentley Falcons picked up another honor Tuesday as Northeast 10 Player of the Year Michael Haikal was named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicatiors (CSC).  Haikal was one of 11 NCAA DII men's soccer players to earn recognition on the All-America Third Team.

Haikal holds a 3.58 grade piont average in Finance at Bentley, the No. 1 regional university in the northeast according to US News and World Report.

On the field Haikal was named NE10 Player of the Year this fall after posting seven goals and 15 points to help push Bentley to the NE10 regular season title.  For those efforts Haikal was named an All-American by both the United Soccer Coaches and the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association.
