NE10 Player of the Week

Nater Wachter, Southern New Hampshire
Sophomore | Outfielder I Concord, N.H.

Wachter had a huge early-season trip to Cary last week, as he went 11-for-20 (.550) with seven extra-base hits and five walks during a 3-2 week. Wachter homered, drove in nine runs and scored seven times, while slashing .654/1.050/1.704. Wachter was 3-for-6 with four RBI and two runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, went 6-for-10 with a home run, five RBI and four runs scored, as SNHU split a twinbill with Mansfield on Saturday, and then finished 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 4-3 loss to Dominican (N.Y.) on Sunday.


NE10 Pitcher of the Week

Colin Blake, Southern Connecticut
Graduate Student | Pitcher I Wallingford, Conn.

Blake had a dominant week as he picked up a four-inning save against Mercy before logging a seven-inning shutout against Bridgeport to improve to 2-1 on the year. Against Mercy, Blake allowed just one, unearned run his four-inning bullpen stint while allowing just one hit for the save. Against Bridgeport, Blake continued to dominate the opposition as he retired seven straight batters from the fourth inning to the sixth and then the last four batters he faced in the afternoon. He struck out nine and surrendered only two hits. Blake has now given up just one run – which was unearned – in his last 18 innings pitched while striking out 13 over his previous three appearances.  


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Jackson Marshall, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | First Base | Hooksett, N.H.

Marshall went 9-for-21 (.429) at the plate with a home run, nine RBI and six runs scored, while producing a slash line of .520/.667/1.187, during a 3-2 week for SNHU. In a 24-3 triumph over Mansfield in game one of Saturday's doubleheader, Marshall finished 4-for-6 with a pair of extra-base hits, including a home run, four RBI and three runs scored. He capped the trip to Cary by going 3-for-4 with an RBI in a 4-3 loss to Dominican (N.Y.) on Sunday.
